City of Linton will flush hydrants April 14-18
Ross Gentry, with the City of Linton Gas and Water Department, would like residents to know of a planned hydrant flushing to occur next week.
“Beginning Sunday April 14, 2024, the Linton Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants. It is anticipated that the flushing process will require four nights to complete,” Gentry announced. “The flushing will begin nightly at 8 p.m. and will last through 6 a.m. the following mornings. Therefore, all flushing activities should be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024. During the process, customers may notice a discoloration of the water. It is recommended that clothes washing be kept to a minimum during this time, as discolored water has been known to cause stains in white or light colored clothing.
