Lenora M. (Cronkhite) Beadle

Lenora M. (Cronkhite) Beadle, 88, of Dugger, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 12, 1936 in Warren County to Levi H. Cronkhite and Estella (Randalls) Cronkhite.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Carl Beadle of Dugger, who she married on May 3, 1958; children, Norman S. “Bo” Beadle (Lea J.) of Dugger and Rebekah E. “Becky” Herndon (Greg) of Lyons; grandchildren, Annie Starr (Craig) and Mandy Wall (Matthew); great-grandchildren, William P. Brenton, Anna M. Brenton, Levi J. Wall and John S. Wall; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, John Paul Beadle; sisters, Alice Williams, Evelyn Rice and Naomi Levite; several nieces and nephews.

Lenora graduated from Williamsport High School. She worked as a secretary in an insurance office and as a CNA in both Sullivan and Linton hospitals. She was the organist/pianist for over 35 years at Jasonville Assembly of God as well as a musician in the Jesus Band gospel group. She was active in the operation of the Roosevelt Mission and Food Pantry. Lenora was homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, doing yard work, mowing, cutting wood, gardening, picking berries and canning. She enjoyed cooking and making her caramel treats for Christmas. Lenora loved to ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles with her husband, was involved with Unchained Ministries and Unchained Motorcycle Gang.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street in Jasonville. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the funeral home, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Jasonville Assembly of God, 339 W. Main Street in Jasonville. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Sam Bush and Pastor Kyle Walsh officiating.

Interment will be at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger.
