This disorganized chaos makes me smile
I’m the type of person who is constantly on the go, whether it be work or taking care of my family. I’ve always been bad at staying on track when I start a project, especially cleaning, and often find myself working on three different things at once.
Add in a tiny person following my every step and yelling demands at me, and my attention span is spread even thinner.
Earlier this week, I had a moment that I can’t stop laughing about because it really wrapped up how I’ve been feeling the last few weeks.
After dinner on Tuesday, Cici was covered in food and her hair had the remnants of the oily concoction we had put on her to clear up a batch of eczema on her neck. I was tired and my awesome husband was cleaning up the dishes from the dinner that he made.
I tasked him with also getting her ready for a bath while I run the bath water.
Cut to me checking the water temperature, and noticing a little bit of a grime ring around the tub (don’t judge!). So, instead of running the bath water, I start scrubbing the bathtub and I had to rinse out the cleaning product before running the bath. While on my knees scrubbing the tub, I notice the toilet -- directly next to the tub -- also needs cleaned.
While rinsing the product out of the tub, I went ahead and put some product in the toilet to clean it.
Then, while waiting on the product to set in the toilet, I started cleaning of the counter.
Fast forward a few minutes, and a naked toddler comes stumbling in to the bathroom expecting a bath with her baby doll and momma’s been ineffectively cleaning.
On the bright side, the tub and the baby got cleaned. Almost everything else in my life is still a mess, though. But, I like the crazy.
