A fundraiser held by Worthington’s Tri Kappa chapter, Delta Nu, exceeded expectations last Friday night, packing the Community Building at Worthington Park and filling the donation vase with fives, tens and twenties for the group. All proceeds raised from the meal and a silent auction went to the Worthington Cemetery’s “Wreaths Across America” (WAA) project, which aims to raise enough to place a remembrance wreath on the grave of every one of the 460 veterans interred there this December 14. Each wreath will cost $17, and individuals and businesses can sponsor a wreath by visiting Worthington’s Wreaths Across America page at http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/inwort.
