WRV basketball earns awards at Tecumseh Classic

White River Valley boys basketball made the trip to the Tecumseh Classic Tuesday and while the Wolverines did not win a game they did earn recognition. Eli Crites made the All-tournament team with averages of 14.5 points , 11 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the line in the games. Freshman Max Hostetter won the FCA Character Counts Award. Senior Clayton Sluder won the Senior Academic Achievement Award. WRV lost the first game of the classic to North Posey 50-35 and fell in the second game to Tecumseh 66-63. The Wolverines are 0-6 will aim for their first win against Bloomfield when WRV hosts the Greene County Invite on Jan. 6.
