Robert Dale 'Bob' Lemonds, 85, of Linton, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at his residence. Born in Elnora on Nov. 21, 1921, he was the son of Otho Dale and Opel Ruth (Johnson) Lemonds. He was a World War II veteran with the US Army receiving two Bronzes Stars. He worked for the City of Linton as the Superintendent of Utilities for several years. Bob was a member of the BPO Elks No. 866, American Legion Post No. 22, and the VFW Post No. 7118...

JASONVILLE -- The Shakamak 10 year old all-star team picked up its first win in the Cal Ripken all-star tournament played in Jasonville Friday night. The Shakamak squad defeated the Greene County all-stars, 3-1, to advance through the winners bracket. The team will now play the Shakamak 9 year old all-stars today at 11 a.m.
