To the Editor: I see where Nick Schneider, a journalist who is more qualified than I, has taken up my crusade urging the public to vote smart. I am happy to see this. After a less than 28% voting in the primary, we need a voice more persuasive than mine to remind people of the gift that they have chosen to neglect. I hope national pride is more evident in the coming holidays, such as Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day. Thanks Mr. Schneider...

Mark D. Dodson, a 35-year-old Bloomington man who formerly lived in the Solsberry area, was taken into custody late Thursday by Indiana State Police Trooper Adam Davis and booked into the Greene County Jail. A warrant was issued for Dodson's arrest after preliminary charges of two counts of class A felony child molesting were filed against him in Greene Superior Court...

The Bloomfield Lions' Clubhouse recently had its sidewalk improved -- making it handicapped accessible -- thanks to the volunteer work of two students and a host of donations. The White River Valley Girls Tennis team lost a disappointing 3-2 match to North Daviess in the IHSAA Girls Tennis Sectional Friday evening.
