Redevelopment Commission moves forward with bonding plan

The Greene County Redevelopment Commission moved forward Monday night with a plan to issue up to $5.2 million in bonds to help pay for four separate infrastructure projects. The Redevelopment Commission's $5,180,000 project request includes funding of $1.5 million for the sewer plant that will be located in the Daviess County portion of the WestGate Tech Park; $355,000 for the I-69 lift station; $225,000 for the WestGate Tech Park lift station; and $300,000 for a lift station on 37-acre site owned by the Redevelopment Commission.. ...

Ambulance suit filed by former employee settled out of court

A civil suit filed recently by former employee in the Greene County Ambulance Service office has been settled out of court. However, terms of the agreement are not being revealed to the public. On Monday morning, the three Greene County Commissioners -- Steve Lindsey, Bart Beard and Kermit Holtsclaw -- signed a settlement agreement and release in the case brought by former EMS office account supervisor Mary Michael, of rural Bloomfield, against the Greene County Ambulance Service, Greene County Emergency Medical Service Board and David Doane, who serves as EMS director.. ...
