Cheri Ann (Yeryar) Griffith, 47, Jasonville, Ind., passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at home. She was born May 4, 1964 in Linton to Jim Yeryar and Shelia Weatherwax Yeryar. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Doug Griffith of Jasonville, whom she married on May 14, 1983; parents; Jim and Shelia Yeryar of Midland, daughter and son-in-law, Shea and Jay Boram of Linton; twin granddaughters, Jaedyn and Jordyn Boram; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Todd Gambill; grandfather, James "Red" Yeryar of Midland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Bob and Charlene Mowery of Linton.. ...

Single-vehicle wreck claims one life Friday night

A 44-year-old Elnora man died of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle Friday night wreck on State Road 54 -- just east of the Greene County Fairgrounds. Switz City approves mosquito spraying deal

The council voted to sign a three-year contract with City Pest Control for the spraying of mosquitoes for $224 per application. Wanda White Hamilton, 75, of Madisonvillle, Tenn., formerly of Scotland, Ind., passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012. Wanda was retired from RCA and a member of Scotland Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Hamilton, and parents, Leonard and Frances Kirby White. Survivors: daughters, Donna Linzey and Diana Parnell and husband, Robbie, of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Angela Crites, Loudon and Kristen May; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Boutell, Florida. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Riverview cemetery with the Rev. Ron. Helderman and Rev. Ron Jones officiating.
