Fundraiser to benefit Lyons Veterans Memorial Project

Work and fundraising on the Lyons Veteran's Memorial project continues. The Lyons Veterans Committee will host a Ham and Bean fundraiser on Saturday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. to raise money for the ongoing project. LeGrand painting chosen to be part of exhibition at the Indianapolis Museum of Art

LeGrand is one of 43 artists selected to display artwork at the Indiana Artists Club, 82nd Annual Exhibition, beginning April 6, at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA). Mercury Cleaners to close doors in Bloomfield and Linton

A long-time downtown Linton and Bloomfield dry cleaning will be going out of business early next month. Mercury Cleaners on Main Street in Linton will be closing it's plant in Linton and closing it's Bloomfield location on Franklin Street as well. Owner and Linton Mayor John Wilkes said it's just not feasible to run a dry cleaners anymore. He said at its peak, the shops could have 2,000 pounds of clothes a week, but now they are lucky to have 200 pounds...
