Jasonville man racks up another charge, total up to six pending criminal cases

One more case was filed on Thursday against Mark A. Irons, 23, of Jasonville. This brings his total up to six criminal cases pending. There were three when a fourth was filed against him on Monday with a warrant issued for his arrest. Then a petition to revoke a suspended sentence was filed in a previous case, making five.....

Bloomfield Rotary honors students and awards $17,000 in scholarships

The club honors the top ten students in each class while giving away 22 scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000. The Linton-Stockton boys and Eastern Greene girls track teams claimed the 2014 Greene County Track Championship Friday night at the Charlie Hoskins Track in Linton. White River Valley's Johnathon Park captured the boys high point award after winning county titles in the high jump (5 feet, 4 inches), as part of the winning 1,600 meter relay squad -- along with teammates Buddy Davis, Bryce Spelts and Conner Hill -- and the 400 meters (56.19 seconds) and placing second in the long jump (17-2).....
