Wednesday, April 22 Linton Church League Softball Association is now taking teams for this years Summer Softball League. We will play on week nights. Each team will play one game per week and we will have a tourney at the end of the season. Entry deadline is Sunday, May 17th. The league will start during the first week of June. The Linton Police Department responded to 12 calls and incidents on Tuesday, April 21, including two complaints concerning an animal, three assist to another department, two calls regarding information, one residential entry, and three threats.

There were no new arrests made on Tuesday, April 21.

The Bloomfield Junior High School track and field meet scheduled for Thursday at Clay City has been switched to White River Valley with a start time of 5 p.m.

The Linton-Stockton and White River Valley boys and girls track teams competed in the Warrior Invitational track and field meet at North Knox last Saturday. The Miner boys and Lady Miners both finished second in the team standings, with the Linton-Stockton girls a close second just three points behind Vincennes Lincoln, 105.5-102.5...
