Vincennes - During the Helton era at Indiana's First College, enrollment has more than doubled, bucking a trend that's seen other two-year colleges and universities lose students. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's September 2014 report, enrollment in U.S. colleges declined by almost half a million between 2012 and 2013 and a large portion of that decline happened at two-year colleges...

Doris R. Dale, age 86, of Linton, passed away at 6:07 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born July 15, 1928, in Linton, the daughter of William and Florence (Haseman) Fritz. She married the love of her life, Jack E. Dale, on July 17, 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1985...

Martin was born on November 1, 1943, in Connersville, Indiana; he was the son of Leonard Lewis and Mary Madeline (Pflum) McCormick. Martin was a graduate of Connersville High School and Vincennes University. He retired from the United States Navy serving from 1963 -1983.
