The Linton Freedom Festival parade plans to start at 10 a.m. Monday, even if there is a little rain. The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce will reach out to us Monday if inclement weather causes a delay or further issues...

Susan E. Clayton Randolp, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Helen L. Cox, age 75, of Linton, passed away at 7:28 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Linton on April 4, 1941, the daughter of Hayden and Mary Irene (Weaver) Bennett. She was a homemaker and enjoyed staying home to take care of her family. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, bible studies and cooking. She was a member of the White Rose Church for many years and attended the 12th Street Church of God through the years...

Dennis Dale McLean, 71, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Millersburg. He was born Dec. 11, 1944 in Jennings, La., the son of Lionel and Vivian Francis Vigo (Istre) McLean. Dale dedicated his life to ministry across the United States, pastoring churches, teaching in Christian schools, and leading Royal Ranger Programs. He served, with his family, as a missionary in the Philippines. He loved his family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him...
