‘Dogs collapse in second half against Deaf School

Indiana School for the Deaf ran wild in the second half Friday night, and the result was a 66-6 whipping of the host Union Bulldogs. Union coach Kyle Foli said the Deaf Hoosiers (3-4) led 28-6 at the break, but reeled off 38 points in the second half to turn the game into Union’s worst loss of the season. White River Valley put up a stiff fight Monday night, but still fell in three sets to visiting Owen VAlley. Owen VAlley beat the Lady Wolveirnes 25-18, 29-27, 25-19, dropping WRV to 9-17 for the season. “We started out slow tonight and came back and had a good second set,” WRV coach Shaun Brown said. “I was pleased that the girls did not give up when they got down, and they were able to battle back. We need to start out strong from the beginning and not dig a hole at the start of the set.”...
