Former UDWI CEO requests dismissal of fraud claim

The former Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC CEO made a motion to dismiss a fraud claim in his response to the cooperative’s civil suit counterclaim. On Dec. 12, 2017, former CEO Brian Sparks filed a civil suit against UDWI, alleging breach of contract and seeking damages. The original documentation, filed by Sparks’ attorney in Greene Superior Court, alleges the cooperative owes him nearly $400,000 in liquidated damages plus attorney fees and costs...
