LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included four follow-up investigations, two requests for information only, one drug investigation, one incident of intimidation, one transport of documentation, six medical/illness, two harassment complaint, two thefts, one open garage door and one traffic stop.

* July 20 and 22 -- Two female employees of WalMart reported finding sealed envelopes on their vehicles in the parking lot, on the two different days. Both notes complimented the women and their work and told them to have a lunch or a snack with $5 that was enclosed. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* July 22 -- LPD Officer Nick Yingling took a report about the theft of signs from a light pole at the Linton Library. The time of the theft is unknown, but two signs were missing -- one said "Library Parking Only" and the other was a tobacco-free zone sign.

* July 22 -- A resident on NW K Street reported an overnight theft of some cash and a music tape out of the center console of his vehicle. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the investigating officer.

* July 22 -- Melissa Hasler, 29, Linton, was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Special Deputy Lee Condol was the arresting officer.
