To the Editor:

Although Thanksgiving Day is over, the Linton Community Food Pantry is still counting its blessings.

The outpouring of donations, both food and monetary, the two weeks before Thanksgiving was so typical of this great community. Sharing their blessings with others is truly a gift we can give to God.

Along with the other area food pantries and the amazing project at the First Christian Church, every person in Greene County had the opportunity to enjoy a hot meal on Thanksgiving.

It takes a community working together to accomplish all this and this one is definitely on top of things.

Every day we should be thankful to God for all of our blessings, not just one day a year. And the greatest gift is the same for every individual, giving us a Savior, His only Son, Jesus Christ!

As the Christmas season is upon us, let us prepare by remaining thankful, thinking of others and bringing peace to one another.

May the spirit of Christmas touch each one of us as we continue to give to the less fortunate.

God bless you all.

To the editor:

I would like to thank my son, daughter-in-law and their children for surprising me with a party for my 90th birthday.

Thanks to all my extended family, my dear friends and all who sent cards, called and those who just took time out of their busy schedules just to say "Happy Birthday."

Also thank you for the people at the Elks who prepared the food. It was a special day I'll always remember.

God bless.

To the Editor:

Words can never express the gratitude for the prayers, support and love, shown to us during Mindy's illness and at her passing.

Special thanks to the staff at Linton Nursing Home and Dr. Powers for their caring concern and to Barbara Graves for conducting the Scripture service. To Father Maddon for his comforting words and Donna Lannon and Peggy Trump for the music. Also thank you to the lector, services and for all attending and sharing your time with us.

Special thanks also to the Lyons American Legion for the lovely meal and to the Stafford Township neighbors, and all others that donated to the Food Pantry in Mindy's memory.

Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered with thanks and prayers.

God bless you all.
