COVID-19 testing stats in Indiana

• VIGO - 1383 positive cases among the 16,840 tested, with 17 deaths.

• GREENE - 373 positive cases among the 4,796 tested, with 35 deaths.

• PUTNAM - 436 positive cases among the 5,377 tested, with eight deaths.

• CLAY - 241 positive cases among the 3,865 tested, with five deaths.

• SULLIVAN - 296 positive cases among the 3,237 tested, with nine deaths.

• OWEN - 150 positive cases among the 3,551 tested, with one death.

• PARKE - 80 positive cases among the 1,852 tested, with two deaths.

• VERMILLION - 96 positive cases among the 2,073 tested, with no deaths reported.

The ISDH reports 95,750 positive cases among the 6.7 million Indiana residents, with 1,457,009 residents tested, and 3,106 deaths reported.

(The numbers are provisional, reflecting only the information published to the ISDH.)

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US), there are 6,047,692 cases reported in the United States, with a total of 184,083 deaths.

The CDC and the World Health Organization have 25,602,665 diagnosed cases worldwide, with 852,758 deaths reported throughout the world.

  • Why would this map be used? The number of tests is irrelevant. The number of positive cases is much more telling....and interestingly enough much smaller. Perhaps the map showing current cases could be used next time.
