Connie Jane Carpenter

Connie Carpenter, age 53, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Kokomo on July 3, 1969 to Larry Carpenter and Toni Jo Matacale. She graduated from Bloomfield High School with the class of 1987 before graduating from Florida Metropolitan University with a degree in business in 1994. She maintained a career in restaurant management throughout most of her life. In her free time, she enjoyed hearing about the things going on in her children’s lives and always being their biggest fan. She was very proud of each of them and their families.

Connie is survived by her sister, Jamie Staten; four children, Matt Burton, Elizabeth Burton, Lena Hoover and Jacob Hoover; four grandchildren, Elaina Helton, Olivia Burton, Kyle Helton Jr. and James Burton Jr.. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Carpenter; mother, Toni Matacale; and her brother, Travis Magness.

Per her request, Allen Funeral home of Bloomington will handle her cremation and her children will have a celebration of life to spread her ashes in the ocean.
