Ruth Helen Landreth

Ruth Helen Landreth, 86, of Petersburg passed away Wednesday January 18, 2023 at the Golden Living Center in Petersburg.

Born February 25, 1936 in Lyons, the daughter of Richard and Marjorie (Cullison) Autrey.

Ruth was retired from the city of Indianapolis as the executive secretary for the Department of Transportation, she was a member of the Indianapolis Methodist Church. Ruth moved to Petersburg when she retired to be close to her grandchildren, she loved gardening and was a member of the Petersburg Gardening Club, she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Julia (Brian) Mahoney; two grandchildren, Colin Mahoney (Bridget Butcher) and Cayla (George) Mahoney-Potter.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be private at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to PAWS (Pike Animal Welfare Shelter 4224 N. Meridian Road Petersburg, IN, 47567). The Pike County Community Foundation or the Petersburg Garden Club.
