Clara Ann Hamilton

Clara Ann Hamilton, age 86, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 5:01 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worthington on March 18, 1936, the daughter of Coburn and Helen (Vandeventer) McBride.

She was a 1954 graduate of Worthington Jefferson High School. She worked as a veterinarian assistant for Dr. W.E. Mathes and also worked at Worthington State Bank. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, working the farmers market, mushroom hunting, fishing and having coffee with her family and friends. She also attended Concord General Baptist Church in Calvertville.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Diana (Danny) Bowles of Spencer and Kim (Ernie) Biltz of Worthington; son, John (Linda) Hamilton of Worthington; grandchildren, Ericka (Brock) Hostetter, Shane (Magen) Bowles, Kelly (Tim) Ponton, BJ (Heather) Biltz and Ashley (Jordan) White; great-grandchildren, Claire Hostetter, Max Hostetter, Libby Hostetter, Alice Hostetter, Owen Bowles, Will Bowles, Cole Ponton, Maci Ponton, Eliza Biltz, Everett Biltz, Eva White and Chase White as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary E. Overton.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Thursday, February 23, 2023 with Pastor Craig Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery in Worthington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
