Joanna would like everyone to know that she has joined her late husband, Mr. Robert E. O’Neal along with passed loved ones that she has missed dearly. Joanna passed peacefully at Union Hospital’s Hospice Ward in in Terre Haute on February 15, 2023.

She was born late afternoon on December 29, 1963 to Ms. Mary Lois (Dunigan) Sexton and Donald E. Keller as their sixth blessing.

Joanna is survived by her only child, Mr. Misty Dawn Holcomb of Wassila, Alaska and only grandchild Elley Dawn Lane of Wassila, Alaska; Jim Meehan of Palmer, Alaska; siblings, Donovan Keller (Regina) of Lyons, Duane Keller (Theresa) of Jasonville, Suetta Michelle Rush (Ed) of Jasonville, Jeff Keller (Amy) of Tatum, Texas, Jerry Keller (Jeannette) of Jasonville and Angela Dean of Brazil and step-sibling Wayne Sexton of Butte, Alaska. As you can imagine, with that many siblings there are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews.

When Joanna clasped Bob’s hand and danced away that beautiful February day, she joined grandparents Jewell and Anna Keller, Birthal and Pauline Dunigan; aunt, Judy Ann Dunigan; stepfathers Otto Byars and Allen Sexton as well as many more of our dearly departed in heaven.

Many will miss how her eccentric ways and kind smile which could light up the darkest day, she was the first to offer a hand to anyone in need of advice or help. She was wife, mother, sister and friend to many in this world. She will be forever mourned by many, yet remembered for her love of music, fabulous dance moves, delicious meals, she was an amazing cook and baker. She was an artist of many crafts, fisherwoman, outdoors enthusiast and bingo babe. She was an incredible woman who loved large, and to those she loved she loved completely.

Funeral services will be held at Cox Funeral Home in Jasonville on Saturday, February 25 from 2-4 p.m. Alaska services will be arranged at a later date upon the arrival of her remains, so they may be placed in her garden among her cherished irises with the best view of her beloved mountains.
