Charles Robert English

Charles Robert English, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his residence.

Born March 14, 1940 in Bloomington, he was the son of Willard Karl and Mary Elizabeth (Utterback) English.

Charles was a carpenter for English Construction, served his country in the United States Army Reserves and attended Ridgeport Community Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Mary Ellen (Holtsclaw) English whom he married on May 2, 1959; one daughter, Patricia English-Kornegay (Gilbert Hoskins); granddaughter, Amanda Staggs (Seth); and his siblings, Howard English and Myrtle Fender.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Charlene English on June 4, 2022; one brother, Fred English; and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Ridgeport Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
