Margaret Nannett McBride

Margaret Nannett McBride, age 82, of Linton, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 9, 2023, with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Kentucky on February 2, 1941, the daughter of Ode and Ophia Marsh.

Margaret graduated from Hopkins University in Kentucky where she earned her business degree. She was a member of the Assembly Church of God.

Margaret worked as the secretary at McBrides Welding Shop for ten years. After her three boys were born, she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed being a part of the Missionettes at her church, gardening and sewing dresses. Margaret’s dresses could even be found at the Indiana State Fair. She loved her family and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed making roast, meatloaf, special cakes and cookies for her family and church. She taught Sunday School at the Assembly of God Church for 40 years. Her and her husband Dennis enjoyed having the youth over for slumber parties and spending time in the woods. Margaret also loved to fish with her family. There was not much that Margaret couldn’t do, because she had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis McBride of Linton; sons, Tracy McBride of Linton, Travis McBride (Linda) of Ohio, Troy McBride (Deanna) of Washington, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara, Betty and twin sister Martha.

Funeral services will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
