Robert Charles Metzger, Jr

Robert Charles Metzger, Jr., 67, of Solsberry, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his residence.

Born June 12,1955 in Indianapolis, the son of Robert Charles Metzger, Sr. and Sandra J. (Dible) Metzger.

Robert was a foreman for Amtrak Railroad, he was very mechanically-inclined. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Bloomfield American Legion.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Laura Metzger; his three children, Robert (Erika) Metzger III, Nikki Mucci and Jeffrey (Ashley) Metzger; his grandchildren, Paxton Metzger, Drake Mucci, Reece Mucci, Carter Mucci, Victor Metzger and Everley Metzger; his two brothers, David (Donna) Metzger and Gerald (Jane) Metzger; his parents, Robert Metzger Sr. and Sandra J Metzger; and a niece, Sandy (Biff) Kinnick.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and a private family graveside service will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Robert’s name be given to the Bloomfield American Legion.
