Susan Joan Cullison

Susan Joan Cullison, age 62, of Linton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at 8:52 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her home. She was born in Sullivan on July 17, 1960, the daughter of Jack Edward and Billie Joan (Simmons) House.

Susan was a homemaker and worked throughout the years at Southside Express and G-Quick Gas Stations, Linton and Lyons Nursing Homes and the Marathon Inn Restaurant in Worthington. She loved taking care of her grandsons and all children, spending time with her family, and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Mark A. Cullison of Linton; her daughter, Nikki (Clint) Jerrell of Linton; two grandsons, Dylan Jerrell (Kayleigh Stafford) and Bentley Jerrell; three sisters, Nancy Loveless (Rusty), Sherri Priest and Jackie Hale (Doug), all of Linton; brother-in-law, Bryan Cullison (Kathy) of Linton; several nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Sally Cullison; and her brother, Joe Nickle.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, with Bo Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Island City Cemetery south of Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
