Laura L. Johnson

Laura L. Johnson, 77, of Bloomfield passed away Monday April 24, 2023 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born April 21, 1946 in Linton, the daughter of Anco and Vonda Lucille (Inman) Collins.

Laura worked at REMC as the office manager for over 50 years, she was a 1964 graduate of Switz City Central High School as valedictorian, she continued her education at Oakland City College and graduated with a computer science and a business degree.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Harry Johnson; two daughters, Dianna Johnson (Aaron Blazier) and Jan Abrams (John Van Sant); two granddaughters, Evelyn and Lucy Abrams; one sister, Joyce Fields (Denman); one brother, Tim Collins (Debbie); and several nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by a brother, William Collins and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations be made to WRV Elementary School in Laura’s name.
