Forest “Chip” W. Langley II

Forest “Chip” W. Langley II, 53, of Dugger, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Gibson Family Center for Hospice.

He was born on January 16, 1970, in Brazil, the son of Forest W. Langley and Diana Timberman Swafford. Chip was an associate pastor at Whosoever Will Church for several years. He was a founder and member for 23 years. He loved coaching and his main mission was to help boys who needed a father figure.

Chip is preceded in death by his father, Forest W. Langley; maternal grandparents, Virginia and Melvin “Red” Timberman; paternal grandmother, Loveta Burger; and stepbrother, Robbie Swafford.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Lori Ferguson Langley; mother, Diana (Rick) Swafford of Brazil; two sons, Keaton (Megan) Langley of Terre Haute and Sterling Langley (Sydney Smith) of Dugger; daughter, Reagan Langley (Jackson Newhart) of Terre Haute; two sisters, Sherra (Jeff) Price of Zionsville and Holli (Mark) Truesdel of Spencer; stepbrother, Rick Swafford, Jr. of Spencer; stepsister, Renae (Rick) Ennis of Martinsville; mother-in-law and father in-law, Connie Sands and Jeff Sands of Spencer; and sister-in-law, Kindra (Kelby) Holsapple of Gosport.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Dyer officiating at Brust Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service at Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Whosoever Will Church in Dugger or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
