Violet Rae Buskirk

Violet Rae Buskirk, age 88, of Worthington, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Linton on March 16, 1935, the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Baker) Goodman.

She was a graduate of Marco High School. She worked at Crane for a couple of years, and then she worked at several restaurants around Worthington and Linton being a well-known waitress and cook. She was a wonderful cook and baker for her loving family and loved to play cards.

She is survived by her loving children, Lee (Cindy) Buskirk of Worthington and Lorrie (Norman Turpen) Driggers of Ky.; daughters-in-law, Susan Buskirk and Barbara Buskirk; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Hubert “Hub” Buskirk; sons, Dennis Buskirk and Robert Buskirk as well as brothers, Billy Joe Goodman and Richard Goodman.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Friday, August 11, 2023 with Pastor Rick Pressel officiating. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery in Worthington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
