Joyce Kay (Sensney) Hasler

Joyce Kay (Sensney) Hasler, 86, of Newberry, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Greene County General Hospital.

Born June 1, 1937 in Marco, she was the daughter of George and Farrel (Mullis) Sensney. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of the Newberry Cornerstone Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Joyce loved Jesus, her family, her friends and her church. An avid gardener, she loved to mow her own yard.

Surviving relatives include one son, Doug Hasler (Kelley) of Carmel; one daughter, Demita Hasler of Newberry; two grandsons, Ian Hasler (Winnie) and Zach Hasler (Jenny); and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Hasler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hasler on October 9, 2004; one sister, Janice Autrey; and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Newberry Cornerstone Church, with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel cemetery in rural Lyons.

Public visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the Newberry Cornerstone Church. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Newberry Cornerstone Church.
