Mary Jo Carrico

Mary Jo Carrico, age 71, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:50 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer. She was born in Linton on December 23, 1951, the daughter of Harold Eugene Rollins and Lila (McDaniels) Rollins.

Mary Jo was a 1967 graduate of L & M High School. She worked throughout the years as a waitress at the Lighthouse Restaurant, Red & White Grocery Store in Linton, REMC and Boston Scientific in Spencer. She enjoyed crafting and being with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Ed Carrico; three children, Amy (Jeremy) Bennett of Washington, Peggy (John’s) Dunning of Spencer and David (Emily) Carrico of Linton; seven grandchildren, Bryce Bennett, Colin Bennett, Braylee Bennett, Kale Dunning, Kane Dunning, Mason Shorter and Madison Shorter; and her Maltese dog, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
