Sharon Kay Phegley

Sharon Kay Phegley, 82, of Linton, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Kokomo and was the daughter of Cecil and Doris Pearl (Goodman) Fields. Sharon married the love of her life, Ronald D, Phegley on February 3, 1959.

Sharon was a homemaker and loved taking care of her home and family. Her children and her grandchildren were her life.

Family left to cherish the memory of Sharon include her six children, Allen Phegley (Angie Cox) of Sandborn, Rhonda Shipley, Teresa Pope and Karen (Randy) Lucas, all of Linton, Mitzi Vaught of Bloomfield and Nichole ‘Nick’ Myers (Walter Ash) of Linton; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Rodney, Jessica, Caleb, Danielle, Emma, Evan and Jessica; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Mariann) Fields of Linton and Randy (Sharon) Fields of Worthington. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ronald Phegley (August 2, 1994); brother, Harry Fields and step-father, Everett ‘Gramps’ Grigsby.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Chaplain Jeff Fulk officiating. Sharon will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Ronald, in Shepherd Cemetery in Carlisle.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Viaquest Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
