Eva Maxine (Crane) Ashcraft

Eva Maxine (Crane) Ashcraft, 89, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born in Martin County on September 25, 1934 the daughter of Roy and Joyce (Bruce) Crane.

Maxine grew up in the Plummer community, working on the family farm and graduated in 1953 from Lyons High School. Maxine was a member of the Bethany Christian Church in Plummer. She worked at RCA in Bloomington. Maxine was married to Roy “Bud” Ashcraft on February 12, 2016 and he survives.

Maxine is also survived by her daughters, Catherine J. Lund of Bloomfield, Marilyn K. Reese of North Charleston, S.C. and Jackie L. (Jim) Crabb of Bloomfield; step-daughter, Mitzi Fluke; her grandchildren, Brock (Jennifer) Beaver, Amy (Brad) Kelly, Travis Bland, Erica (Brandon) Cuellar and Kyle (Jessica) Stroud; her great-grandchildren, Micah (Ryan) Adams, AJ Kelly, Nathanael Beaver, Colin Beaver, Brennan Cuellar and Elodie Cuellar; her great-great grandchildren, Hadley and Reagan Adams; two special cousins, Joyce Byers and Caroly Duckworth as well as several nieces and nephews.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lois Marie Crane, Katherine Louis Crane, Evelyn Mae (Leslie) Correll, Murl (Hazel) Crane, Edward (Sherry) Crane, Judith Gambill and Ruth Imogene (Keith) Leohr. Also preceding her in death are her husbands; father of her children, Jack H. Burcham and Gene F. Deckard.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 16 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
