Arvine Wayne Shuffitt

Arvine Wayne Shuffitt, 85, of Bloomington passed away Friday January 5, 2024 at Stonecroft Health Campus.

Born August 25, 1938 in Indianapolis, the son of Easton Frank Shuffitt and Ellen Lee (Hurt) Shuffitt.

Wayne was a truck driver and a farmer, he was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge 1081, AMVETS and American Legion Post 18, all of Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Pat Shuffitt; three daughters, Floria Hepburn, Lisa Neal and Robin Grogan; two stepsons, William Edward Furr and Paul Wayne Furr; one stepdaughter, Rachel Abrell; several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; he is also survived by one brother and two sisters.

Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife Dixie Lee Shuffitt; a great-grandson, Joseph Neal; three brothers; two sisters and his parents.

The family asks that any memorial donation in Wayne’s name be given to Riley Children’s Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation in his name.

No visitation or services are planned. Burial will be at a later date.
