Cynthia “Cindy” Angell

Cynthia “Cindy” Angell, age 61, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville. She was born in Terre Haute on March 7, 1962 the daughter of Robert and Mary Rosetta (Yokum) Hice.

She was a 1980 graduate of Van Buren High School. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved taking care of her family and occasionally helping out at the family grocery store, Angell’s. She enjoyed knitting, painting and especially loved spending time with her grandbabies. She was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church where she was very active in the church and was the secretary for awhile.

Cindy is survived by her loving sons, Christopher (Megan) Angell of Linton and Nicholas (Tasha) Angell of Linton; grandchildren, Maverick Angell, Lilah Angell and Chloe Angell; sister, Joyce (Stephan) Fitzpatrick; brother, James Hice as well as a nephew, Israel Fitzpatrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mark Angell.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 with Pastor Debbie Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
