Elaine D. Schreier Hunter

Elaine D. Schreier Hunter, 79, of Fishers passed away on January 23, 2024.

She retired from Boston Scientific in Spencer and had been co-owner of the Bloomfield Sears Catalog store in the 1980’s with her late husband, Richard L. Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her step-father and mother, Edward and Dorothy Simpson Schreier Jakubik of Glenview, Ill.; her husband, Richard L. Hunter of Bloomfield: her brother, Alan Schreier of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Reba Hunter Floyd of Melbourne, Fla.; brother-in-law, Fred Byers of Bloomington; son-in-law, David F. Guthrie of Speedway and friend, Richard Hart of Worthington.

She is survived by her son, Leonard L. Hunter (Megan Runion) of Rushville; daughter, Alice Hunter Guthrie of Fishers; grandchildren, Jamie Skirvin of Bloomington, Scott (Chelsea) Moore of Rushville, Ronnie Skirvin of Bloomington, Carlie (Kyle Herring) Robertson of Rushville and Isaac Guthrie and Emily Guthrie, both of Fishers; seven great-granddaughters; her sister, Sandra (Fred) Schmidt of Schaumburg, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Judy Schreier of Nev. and Beverly Hunter Byers of Bloomington as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside rites will be performed by Jenkins & Sons Funeral home at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Calvertville Cemetry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
