Paula Kay Hollingsworth, 75, of Linton went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2024. Paula was born on July 9, 1948 in Linton, the daughter of the late Donald L. and Iris A. (Maddison) Bedwell.

Paula was raised in Linton with her brother, Steve and sister, Donna. She attended Linton Stockton High School. Paula caught the eye of Dave Hollingsworth at the local Dog n’ Suds, and they were married on September 27, 1964 in Georgia. One year later, Paula was promoted to her most cherished role of being a mother to Curt Hollingsworth on September 13, 1965.

Paula was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be remembered for her kind heart, jovial personality and comedic love for life. Paula fiercely loved her people and was their biggest cheerleader for life. She had a big and tender heart for every little thing especially her kitties and puppy dogs Sally (Sal Sal), Rosie, Penny, Beesly, Winston and Mackey. Paula worked at Keller Aluminum Chair Factory, Sunbeam and then co-managed Petro Convenience Store in Lyons.

Family left to cherish the memory of Paula include her loving husband of 60 years, Herschel D. ‘Dave’ Hollingsworth; son, Curt (Rhonda) Hollingsworth of Newburgh; grandchildren, Heather (Christian) Bowling and Haley Hollingsworth (Ja’von Langley), both of Indianapolis; great-granddaughter, Caroline Bowling; sister, Donna (Joe) Chipman and family of Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Sherry Bedwell of Linton; one aunt, Evelyn (Bedwell) Franich of Mich. and her beloved stray cats. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Steve Bedwell and grandparents, John and Emma Maddison.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Luke Richison officiating. Paula will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 29 and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Co. Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
