Delbert Kenneth “Kenny” Robinson

Delbert Kenneth Robinson, age 79, passed away peacefully at his residence in Bloomfield on February 23, 2024. He was born to Delbert and Betty (Felton) Robinson on July 26, 1944. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Delores (Holtsclaw) Robinson; his son, Eric Robinson (partner, Megan Hamilton) of Terre Haute; his daughter, Julie Sherrard (husband, Mike) of Bloomfield; three grandsons, Andrew, Brett and Drake Sherrard of Bloomfield; his sister, Charlene Wonder of Vevay; his brother, Joe Robinson of Bloomfield; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arnold Robinson and two sisters in infancy, Debra J. and Linda L. Robinson.

He served his country in the United States Army from January 1964 to January 1967. He was employed by the Hasler Oil Company in Bloomfield, Rogers Group in Bloomington and Gibco Motor Express in Switz City.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and attending his grandsons’ sporting events. He could be found at all of their games, supporting and cheering them on. He was an enthusiast of classic cars and restoring antique tractors.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. For those wishing to make memorial contributions, the family requests them to be made to the American Cancer Society or Riley Children’s Hospital Foundation.
