Jane Arthur, age 81, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 7:35 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fairbanks on February 9, 1943, the daughter of Emmitt Romine and Margaret (Payne) Lehman.

She was the proud business owner of the Book Trader in Greene County. She was a former member of the Worthington VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and doing genealogy. She was an animal lover and was the proud author of “Coon Hunter’s Daughter”.

Jane is survived by her loving children, Ken (Denise) Bowser, Robert Bowser, Terryl Arthur, Julie Bowser, James (Tracy) Bowser, Kip Arthur, Annie Bowman and Mike Arthur; grandchildren, Albert Greco, Jessica Bowser, Michael Arthur, Roy Matthew Arthur, Beau Justin Hash, Christopher Bowser, Jacob Bowser, Alexander Keith Arthur, Alysah Arthur, Janie Bowman, Jacob Bowman and Jackson Bowman; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta Winfrey and brother, Leonard Romine as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Blan Bowser and George Keith Arthur, Sr.; grandchildren, Zachary Bowser and Jaimie Bowman as well as a step-son, William Arthur.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 with Pastor Steve Blaydes officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
