Daniel Lee Shadoin

Daniel Lee Shadoin, age 74, of Spencer, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Ascensions St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel. Daniel was born in New Castle to Robert E. and Agnes K. (Rice) Shadoin on Aug. 30, 1949. He graduated from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan. with a degree in business. Daniel worked as the building coordinator at Owen Valley High School as well as starting two businesses, Briteway Cleaning Services as well as Indoor Clean Air, which he started because of his children’s allergies. Daniel was a hardworking man and was a devoted and loving father to his children.

Survivors include his children, Daniel R. Shadoin, Abigail (Mike) Yount, Steve (Tara) Shadoin, Jared (Carrie) Shadoin and Chris Robertson; grandchildren, Austin, Blake, Callie, Ellie, Warren, Darren and Stefany Shadoin, Jordan Yount, Kierstyn (Mason) Bain, Destiny (Noah) Jackson and Darianne Robertson; son-in-law, Tony Taylor; special friend, Shirley DeHart; brothers, Tom Shadoin and Larry (Pam) Shadoin and sister, Doris (Greg) Colbach.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Barbara (Hale) Shadoin and Shaun (Johnson) Shadoin; daughter, Danaye Taylor and a brother, Robert “Rusty” Shadoin.

Funeral services for Daniel will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 starting at 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow the service at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer.
