Terry Lee Tincher

Terry Lee Tincher, 79 of Lewis, passed away March 30, 2024 at his residence in Lewis.

Terry was born November 18, 1944 in Stickney, W.Va. the son of Doyle R. Tincher and Maxine (Barre) Tincher. He was a farmer, self-employed truck driver and also the owner of Tincher Trucking. He was a veteran and a member of Clay City American Legion Post 225.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his companion of 26-and-a-half years, Donna Oliver; two sons, Scott Tincher of Clay City and Sam Tincher of Clay City; a daughter, Jennifer Tullis (Eric) of Franklin; three step-daughters, Tracy Akers (Lavon) of Jasonville, Tina Wright of Jasonville and Jodi Scott (Joe) of Sullivan; a brother, Denny Tincher of Brownsburg; 15 grandchildren, Allie, Danielle, Olivia, Joshua, Morgan, Devin, Beth, Chris, Trevor, Isaac, Cloe, Nick, Josey, Isabel and Gracie; eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger at 1 p.m. on April 3, 2024. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery in Dugger.
