Delores L. ‘Babe’ Anderson

Delores L. ‘Babe’ Anderson, 94, of Westphalia, went to Heaven, with loved ones by her side, on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born on March 25, 1930, in Westphalia to Nathan Eldo and Hedwig Anna Marie (Schultz) Wollerman. Babe married her husband of 66 years, Wendell B. Anderson, on August 22, 1950.

Babe was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ. She was a homemaker; her family was her pride and joy. Babe drove a school bus for the North Knox School Corporation for 15 years and worked as a clerk at Family Pharmacy in Bicknell. Her true calling in life was her family.

Those left to cherish the memory of Babe include four sons, Les (Linda) Anderson of Indianapolis, Clark (Regina) Anderson of Westphalia, Keith (Sue) Anderson of Lebanon, Ohio and Kevin (Linda) Anderson of Edwardsport; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wendell Anderson; daughter-in-law, Beth Anderson; sister, Evelyn Stoelting and two brothers, Merlin ‘Bud’ and Wally Wollerman.

Funeral services to honor the life of Babe will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Salem United Church of Christ, 13135 N. Salem Road, Westphalia with Pastor Jesse Letourneau officiating. Babe will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the church.
