"Simon Says" was a game kids played and enjoyed in the past. "Simon" gave directions to take "baby steps" or "giant steps" to the players. It's time for Greene County to take some "giant steps" to deal with the county-wide high school dropout issue. Bloomfield High School has worked diligently to improve its rate. Recently, it reported an 80 percent rate of graduation. The school should absolutely celebrate these numbers...

Louis Ochoa, Jr., 64, of San Antonio, TX., passed away Thursday, June 11, at his residence. He was born June 16, 1945 in Tucson, AZ., the son of Louis and Beatrice Ochoa. He was of the Christian faith. Louis enlisted in the United States Army in 1961. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
