Linton Freedom Fest parade takes to the streets

The rocket's red glare had long since faded from the air, as Sunday's fireworks show, normally the cap to the Linton Freedom Festival, traded grand finale duties with the parade this year. No serious injuries in rear-end Linton collision

A rural Bloomfield woman received minor injuries in a rear-end collision on State Road 54 in Linton on Sunday. Linton City Police Officer Tom Jerrells reports that 2001 Oldsmobile Aleero, driven by Lindsey A. Finley, 17, Route 1, Bloomfield, was stopped westbound in traffic near the intersection of 8th Street NE about 11:30 a.m. Her car was struck from behind at a high rate of speed by a 2003 Dodge Stratus, driven by Dana L. Dove, 38, of Linton. Lindsey complained of neck pain, according to the accident report.
