UPDATED: Franchise hotel to locate in southern Greene County near I-69

An 80-room national franchise chain hotel is coming to Greene County, the first of what is anticipated to be several commercial developments near Interstate 69 and the WestGate at Crane Technology Park. At a special meeting of the Greene County Redevelopment Commission on Tuesday afternoon, the sale of about three acres of land to hotel developers, Mike and Debbie Hicks of rural Bedford, was approved for the construction of an 80-unit Comforts Suites Hotel.
