The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded $900,000 in funds to Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana, Inc. (ASPIN) to be used over the next three years to improve the health of persons with mental illness and/or addiction diagnoses served by five community mental health centers in Greene, Wabash, Whitley, Pulaski, Cass, Miami, Parke, Fountain, Montgomery, White, Wayne, Randolph and Fayette Counties of Indiana through the training of case managers as community health workers and by increasing the number of ACA Healthcare Marketplace navigators. ...

Lyons Town Council hires new attorney, approves paving quote

Attorney Lucas Rudisill put in his resignation to the Lyons Town Council, which was approved during their monthly meeting Tuesday evening. The board then passed a motion to hire Rudisill's recommendation, Sam Drummy, as a replacement. In other business, the board accepted a paving quote from Arnold Asphalt in Bloomington. Bloomfield Town Council approves sewage construction bid

The Bloomfield Town Council met in Special Session Tuesday afternoon to award the bid for the sewer project between Lincoln Drive and Honeysuckle Lane. The board accepted a bid from D.L. Wilson Construction Company Inc. of Bloomfield. The bid, which totaled $45,000, was $800 more than the competitors; However, Board President Doug Frye said after reviewing the quoted price and comparing it to the work that will be done, he believed the extra money would be "$800 well spent."...
