The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce participated in the Chamber Day at the Statehouse Tuesday and one of the many topics discussed was staying in contact with legislators. Several Linton-Stockton Chamber members joined chambers from throughout the state to hear from state leaders at the Hyatt Downtown Indianapolis before touring the Statehouse. Keneth David Lyon, 22, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a synthetic drug. No bond is set. Randy Lee Miller, 33, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal trespass. Bond is set at $1,000.

The Linton Police Department responded to 16 incidents for service Wednesday, including one abandoned vehicle, one bank/residential alarm, four fingerprintings, one noise complaint, one theft and eight traffic stops.

Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell credited the residents of Linton for making extra patrols on the northeast side of town much easier. Jerrell updated the Linton City Council on the status of the patrols of the rights-of-way and alley through-ways which came as part of a cooperative effort with the updated plan and grants awarded to the city...
