Resurrecting Recovery Center provides addiction recovery for men in Bloomfield

Two Bloomfield men, John “Robby” Hamm and Pastor Brian Patterson of Bloomfield’s Rebuilt Ministries, saw a need for a residential addiction-recovery service in Greene County and they set about filling that need about a year and a half ago. Both men are recovering addicts themselves, and both have combined their first-hand knowledge about the perils of addiction with their unshakable faith in Christ to create the Resurrecting Recovery Center (RRC), located at the former White River Baptist Church at 174 North SR 57 in Bloomfield, just south of the Lighthouse Junction.. ...

WRV Board approves off-campus prom, stop-arm cameras on buses

The White River Valley Board of School Trustees met Aug. 19 for their regular monthly meeting. The board approved a request from the 2020 Prom Committee to hold prom at the Greene County Community Event Center. Prom Committee members Mrs. Enoch, Ms. Padgett and Mrs. Brown told the board students chose a Las Vegas theme for the 2020 prom with 70 percent of them favoring Vegas over a Mardi Gras theme...
