Shop like you mean it
The holiday season is approaching. Time to do as the mall advertisement says: Shop like you mean it.
Let me begin by stating that I really enjoy giving gifts, especially when I’ve put a lot of thought into it. You can tell when a person appreciates his/her gift because their eyes light up and a smile sneaks out.
One of the problems with finding a present for someone is figuring out what he/she might like.
This year is different than from previous years. So many items are purchased online. I see the FedEx delivery truck go down my street each and every day. What can be interesting is to watch people as they pretend to actually enjoy their new gift. A new tie? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen my brother-in-law receive another new tie.
So what exactly am I supposed to do about finding a gift? It seems I always give my sister a blouse. I swear each year I won’t, yet for some reason I just always give her a blouse. So, when this Christmas rolls around I have found something different. She’s getting a sweater.
Giving a gift can be enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong, I love receiving gifts too.
However, I don’t need a new blouse. I could use a computer. This one has a problem spelling words.
